After last week’s humiliating loss against the Baltimore Ravens, the start of the Seahawks vs. Steelers contest in Week 2 comes as a relief. Early in the second quarter, the Steelers lead by a score of 14-0, with scoring coming courtesy of touchdown runs by Rashard Mendenhall in the first quarter and Isaac Redman in the second.
The Steelers might have made it an even bigger lead, but the Seahawks stopped them on fourth down near the goal line in the Steelers’ first possession. The Steelers were on the half-yard line and handed the ball to Mendenhall, who darted to the left. Mendenhall reached the ball across the goal line, but only after Earl Thomas had already tackled him.
The Redman touchdown was a 20-yard run on a draw, with Redman pulling off a nice move to get by Kam Chancellor in the open field. Here’s video of the play.
