2012 Senior Bowl: Zebrie Sanders Sees NFL Draft Stock Fall

At SBNation.com, sometime SB Nation Pittsburgh contributor Alfie Crow looks at five players who haven't helped themselves during Senior Bowl week: Texas A&M wideout Jeff Fuller, North Carolina wideout Dwight Jones, Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore, Alabama linebacker Courtney Upshaw, and Florida State offensive lineman Zebrie Sanders.

Of these five, the one who's most relevant to Steelers fans is Sanders, who has been connected to Pittsburgh in a couple mock drafts. (Well, actually, Dwight Jones has too, but not by anyone who knows what they're talking about.) Here's Crow on Sanders:

Sanders just had an awful week going up against a slew of very good pass rushers on the South team. He was beaten up badly by Quinton Coples and Melvin Ingram day after day and even struggled handling a bull rush and some of the more powerful defensive ends.

Sanders is one of those players who never seemed to show up in the first round of any mock drafts going to anyone except the Steelers, so that will probably stop now. There are a lot of offensive line prospects out there (including some who play guard, which is a bigger need for the Steelers than tackle is), and the Steelers could also draft a nose tackle or linebacker in the first round and wait until later to address their offensive line issues.
