Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger got the AFC team on the scoreboard to cut into the NFC's 14-0 lead by connecting with fellow AFC North wide receiver A.J. Green of the Cincinnati Bengals for a long touchdown pass. Roethlisberger connected again for a long touchdown, hitting Miami Dolphins receiver Brandon Marshall for a 75-yard touchdown pass.
On the sideline after the play, Roethlisberger said he and Marshall had a little chemistry and both saw the same thing. The route was supposed to be a simple comeback, but Marshall pulled a double move on the cornerback when Roethlisberger pump faked, and Roethlisberger was able to hit Marshall deep down the field. Marshall cut back across the field for the touchdown after the catch on the sideline.
