Steelers Vs. Broncos: Troy Polamalu Wins AFC Defensive Player Of The Week Award

The Pittsburgh Steelers will be heading to Denver this weekend to take on the Broncos in the first round of the NFL Playoffs. They wrapped up the regular season with a win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 17, but it wasn't as easy as many thought it could have been. The Steelers only scored one touchdown in that game, set up by an interception by their do-everything safety Troy Polamalu. For that pick among other reasons, Troy Polamalu was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week, according to the Tribune-Review.

Steelers strong safety Troy Polamalu, whose interception set up the only touchdown in a 13-9 win at Cleveland, has been named AFC Defensive Player of the Week. Polamalu also broke up three passes and dropped Browns quarterback for a loss after perfectly timing the snap from center and crashing through the line of scrimmage.

This is a big honor for Polamalu, but I'm sure he would trade it for a win this weekend over the Broncos.
