The Pittsburgh Steelers hit the practice field today to get ready to take on the Denver Broncos in the first round of the NFL playoffs on Wild Card weekend. The Steelers have been banged-up lately, but they do look to get some key players back. Safety Troy Polamalu expects to be ready to go for the game. "I feel good enough to play," Polamalu said after practice.
As for some of the rest of the Steelers, linebacker LaMarr Woodley (hamstring) and offensive lineman Doug Legursky (shoulder) were full participants in practice. Center Mike Pouncey (ankle) was listed as limited. All three being available on Sunday would be a nice boon to a Steelers team that's struggled keeping guys healthy. It also sounds as if Cortez Allen will miss the game against the Broncos, as Anthony Madison expects to be playing gunner.
Madison said he will be the gunner in Denver, which means Steelers aren't expecting Cortez Allen to playagainst the Broncos.
