The Associated Press announced its 2012 NFL All-Pro roster on Friday, and honored Maurkice Pouncey of the Pittsburgh Steelers as its center. It's the first All-Pro First Team selection for Pouncey, who earned Second Team honors in the 2010 season. The former Florida Gator anchored the Steelers' injury-ravaged offensive line for 14 games in 2011.
↵↵Joining Pouncey on the All-Pro First Team's offensive line are New Orleans Saints guards Carl Nicks and Jahri Evans; Philadelphia Eagles tackle Jason Peters; and Cleveland Browns tackle Joe Thomas.
↵↵Detroit Lions wideout Calvin Johnson and Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen led the voting, with each player finishing just one vote shy of being a unanimous selection. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers easily bested Drew Brees of the Saints for his first selection.
