Steelers Vs. Broncos Score Update: Tim Tebow And Denver Offense Struggle, Shaun Suisham Gives Pittsburgh 6-0 Lead After First Quarter

On their third drive against the Denver Broncos, the Pittsburgh Steelers took a 6-0 lead behind the running of Isaac Redman and the foot of Shaun Suisham. The Steeler running back got the start today after Rashard Mendenhall tore his ACL last week in Cleveland, and Redman has made the most of his opportunity so far. He rushed for 28 yards on the drive, including a huge 13-yard burst up the middle on a crucial third and one for the Steelers. He's averaging almost five yards per carry so far.

After Redman moved the chains, the Pitt drive would peter out at the Denver 20 yard line. For the second time in the first quarter, kicker Shaun Suisham would come on and hit a 48-yard field goal to extend the Steeler lead to 6-0. Suisham drew it just inside the right upright.

On defense, Tim Tebow and the Broncos have been unable to get much momentum in two possessions against the Steeler defense. Willis McGahee was swallowed up behind the line of scrimmage on several occasions. The Broncos finished with just eight total yards in the first quarter. With the offense sputtering, backup quarterback Brady Quinn was seen throwing on the sideline as the quarter came to a close.
