With the Steelers’ playoff loss to the Denver Broncos Sunday evening, we now know the Steelers will pick No. 24 in the NFL Draft. Rob Rang’s latest 2012 NFL Mock Draft, which he features the entire known draft order, has the Steelers taking Georgia offensive lineman Cordy Glenn, noting that Ben Roethlisberger was “sacked five times against the Broncos.” The offensive line’s issues in one playoff game won’t have much of an effect, obviously, but the line has been a weakness all season.
Other noteworthy picks include wideout Justin Blackmon to the Rams at No. 2 (which frankly doesn’t seem all that likely – that’s a bit of a reach, and as Rang notes, the Rams could trade the pick instead), Penn State’s Devon Still to the Carolina Panthers at No. 8, Stanford offensive lineman Jonathan Martin to the Chiefs at No. 11, and another Stanford o-lineman, David DeCastro, to the Bengals at No. 17.
