2012 NFL Mock Draft: After Loss To Broncos, Steelers Need To Solidify Offensive Line

The Steelers just got knocked out of the Wild Card round of the playoffs by the plucky Denver Broncos. The big story was that game was Ben Roethlisberger struggling to remain upright on an injured ankle behind a patchwork offensive line. There is no surprise that the first edition of the SB Nation 2012 NFL mock draft after that game has the Steelers taking an offensive lineman in the first round, more specifically, Mike Adams of Ohio State. Here is their rationale.

Ben Roethlisberger was sacked five times by the Broncos. He came into the game limping after a season of abuse behind a front five that struggled to contain the pass rush, particularly the offensive tackles. Adams is giant of a man at 6'8" and can help seal off the edge for Big Ben.

At this point, the Steelers will probably take all the help they can get along the front line.
