The Pittsburgh Steelers will enter their Week 5 matchup against the cross-state Eagles with a full two weeks of rest, looking to pull even to .500. The extra week off should mean that the Steelers have a full compliment of their key players, including Troy Polamalu, James Harrison, and Rashard Mendenhall. It would be a welcome sight if Mendenhall is able to go, as Pittsburgh had the second-worst rushing attack in the NFL in the month of September.
The Pittsburgh defense also struggled in the two September losses, giving up 30-plus points to both Denver and Oakland. The Philly offense, despite the heralded talent, hasn't exactly lit it up even if they have come away with wins. Michael Vick has struggled with turnovers, throwing six interceptions so far and abruptly ending drives. The Eagles may have the best running back in the league in LeSean McCoy, but head coach Andy Reid has oddly gone away from using the All-Pro at times. Stopping McCoy will be Dick LeBeau's first priority, and success on that side of the ball could pull the Steelers to 2-2.
The Pennsylvania battle will highlight the early Sunday games, with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman having the call on FOX.
