The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed defensive back Walter McFadden and wide receiver Bert Reed to their practice squad, according to a tweet from Steelers Depot.
McFadden was selected in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Auburn by the Oakland Raiders. He played in four games in 2010 and accounted for five tackles. Since then, he's bounced around various teams' practice squads after being released by the Raiders on Sept. 3, 2011. He signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in October of that year then with the Cincinnati Bengals in Nov. 2011. This will be his second stint with the Steelers after signing in Jan. 2012 and being released in August.
Reed was undrafted out of Florida State in 2012. He has since signed with the Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Denver Broncos practice squads. Reed signed with the Steelers on Nov. 28 only to be released on Dec. 12. But now, Reed is starting his second stint with the Steelers.
