The Pittsburgh Steelers cut former Penn State wide receiver Derek Moye on Tuesday. The Steelers also added cornerback Josh Victorian to the practice squad.
The Steelers signed the 24-year-old Rochester, Pa. native Moye to the practice squad on Nov. 7. Moye went undrafted and spent the offseason with the Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints. In his career at Penn State Moye caught 144 passes for 2,395 yards and 18 touchdowns.
Victorian started the year with the Steelers practice squad and spent much of the season with Pittsburgh, but was released from the practice squad on Nov. 28. Victorian was added back to the practice squad in part to help cope with the loss of Ike Taylor to a fractured ankle.
The Steelers (7-5) beat the Baltimore Ravens last week and currently sit in position for the final wild card spot in the AFC. They host the San Diego Chargers on Dec. 9 at 1 p.m. ET.
