Mocking The Draft has a ridiculous new six-round 2012 NFL Mock Draft. I marvel at the depth of knowledge -- or is it insanity? -- it takes to do something like this. Anyway, they've got the Steelers taking Ohio State tackle Mike Adams in the first round.
Their latest article is also a scouting report on Adams.
Mike Adams looks the part of a franchise left tackle. He has outstanding size, decent arm length and moves very well. It's tough to grade Adams because he is wildly inconsistent and looks lost on the field at times. He also never really displayed a mean streak during the games I watched.
Penn State's Devon Still goes one pick later, to the Denver Broncos at No. 25.
In the second round, the Steelers take Memphis nose tackle Dontari Poe. If Poe were to fall to the Steelers in Round 2, that would be a dream situation, where they get a good talent in the first round and still manage to find the likely heir apparent to Casey Hampton.
In Round 3, they take N.C. State linebacker Audie Cole.
