2012 NFL Combine Results: Dontari Poe, Cordy Glenn Big Winners

The Pittsburgh Steelers could be looking at both lines and the linebacker position in the 2012 NFL Draft. A couple of the players the Steelers could be interested in were big winners at the NFL Combine. Most notably, Memphis nose tackle Donatri Poe had a stellar combine, showing off his strength and athleticism. Poe ran a 4.98 40-yard dash after weighing in at 346 pounds. Poe also put up 44 reps of 225 pounds on the bench, the most of any player at the combine. Poe also showed excellent feet and quickness in drills, drawing comparisons to Baltimore Ravens defensive lineman Haloti Ngata.

Alabama linebacker Don'ta Hightower also showed himself well in the combine after coming in much bigger than expected at 6-foot-2 and 265 pounds, which is excellent size for the inside linebacker position. Hightower clocked in a 4.68 in the 40-yard dash, which is a great time for a linebacker of his stature. He's currently expected to be a late first round or high second round selection, which would slot in nicely for the Steelers pick at No. 24 overall.

Georgia offensive lineman Cordy Glenn did well for himself as well, putting up 31 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press and running a 5.15 40-yard dash at 345 pounds. While it's not really fast, it's still fairly quick for a 345-pound tackle. Glenn is a kind of a tweener offensive lineman who could fit in at left tackle or kick inside to guard, but a lot of teams will draft him in the late first round to give him a shot at left tackle before kicking him inside, which would fit perfectly for the Steelers.
