Behind The Steel Curtain notices that Steelers cornerback Curtis Brown, who spent his rookie year in the NFL in 2011, is back in class at the University of Texas this Spring.

It sounds like it's going to be a long year for Brown, but at least he'll get to be the big man on campus -- it's not so often that someone in a college class turns out to be a current NFL player.

When training camp rolls around this summer, Ike Taylor, who struggled so badly in the Steelers' playoff loss to the Broncos, will occupy one of the cornerback spots. BTSC notes that Brown could compete for the other one, perhaps along with Keenan Lewis and fellow 2011 draft pick Cortez Allen. Brown is likely to pick up a fair amount of special-teams playing time, in any case.
