The Pittsburgh Steelers plan to release Hines Ward and are trying their best to hang on to restricted free agent wide receiver Mike Wallace, but there is another familiar face the Steelers could be interesting in bringing back. Free agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress will be on the Steelers radar when free agency starts, according to a report by Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports.
Source says both steelers and G-men could make a play for Burress. Gmen seems odd, but that's the word.

Burress was originally drafted by the Steelers with the eighth overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft and spent five seasons with the Steelers before leaving to join the New York Giants in free agency. Burress played for the Giants until he was released prior to the 2009 NFL season and then spent the 2010 season in jail for a gun charge. Burress was picked up by the New York Jets for the 2011 season, ending the year with 45 receptions for 612 yards and 8 touchdowns.
