One possible option for the Pittsburgh Steelers to help bolster a struggling position is now off the table. Free agent running back Mike Tolbert signed with the Carolina Panthers on Monday. In addition to that, according to Pittsburgh Tribune-Review writer Mark Kaboly, the Steelers weren't even interested in signing him.

Mike Tolbert's agent, Joel Turner, is sure talking it up now. Wouldn't talk to me over the weekend. Why? Because #Steelers never had interest

The Steelers will now most likely turn to the draft to find an option to help Isaac Redman. Without much cap space, the Steelers have to be careful how they spend.
