NFL Mock Draft 2012: Steelers Take Dont'a Hightower In Another Mock

Walter Football’s latest 2012 NFL Mock Draft shows have the draft picture has changed since the NFL Combine. Memphis’ Dontari Poe, he of the 350 pounds, superhuman strength, and sub-five-second 40 time, heads all the way up to the Carolina Panthers at No. 9. Georgia offensive lineman Cordy Glenn, meanwhile, heads to the Bengals at No. 21.

That leaves the Steelers with Alabama linebacker Dont’a Hightower, and if you’re a Steelers fan, you’re probably going to hear a whole lot about Hightower in the coming weeks — not only because of the release of James Farrior, but because Hightower is the most obvious match of talent, availability and need for the Steelers now that Poe has lifted and run his way out of the equation. (Two offensive linemen, Wisconsin’s Peter Konz and Ohio State’s Mike Adams, drop to No. 28 and No. 29 in this mock; the Steelers take Wisconsin guard Kevin Zeitler in the second round.)

Penn State’s Devon Still heads to the Broncos at No. 25, while fellow defensive tackle Michael Brockers of LSU drops to the Patriots at No. 27.
