NFL Draft 2012: Latest Mock Has Steelers Taking Mike Adams

Although many draft experts feel that the Pittsburgh Steelers will take Dont'a Hightower of Alabama in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, Don Banks of SI.com has them going in a much different direction in his latest mock draft. Instead of a defensive player, he has the Steelers taking offensive tackle Mike Adams out of Ohio State at No. 24 overall. Here is his reasoning behind it.

"After the offensive line issues the Steelers have suffered through the past two seasons, Adams would seem a godsend at No. 24. He's too inconsistent for some teams, but the Steelers like his build and the way he stood out against better competition."

Interestingly enough, he feels that the Steelers will pass on Hightower rather than seeing him snatched up before their turn to pick. Banks has Hightower going to the Patriots at No. 27 overall.
