2012 NFL Mock Draft: Dont'a Hightower Becoming A Popular Choice For Steelers

The best teams in the NFL usually draft the best player available, even if they have some holes that need filling in their lineup. Sometimes the draft board works out well and the BPA happens to play a position of need. It seems the draft may shake out that way for the Steelers this year. The Steelers have a need at inside linebacker, and Dont'a Hightower might be the best player on the board when they pick No. 24. That's why SB Nation has the Steelers taking Hightower in its latest 2012 NFL Mock Draft.

The Steelers cut James Farrior, racing to get under the cap. Hightower is more than a suitable replacement, capable of working on the inside or rushing the passer from the strong side.

The Steelers have an immediate need at inside linebacker, and Hightower could help fix that and also infuse some much-needed young talent at that position.
