Steelers Attend Miami Pro Day In Force

The Pittsburgh Steelers are making their rounds to Pro Day workouts in preparation for the 2012 NFL Draft. On Thursday Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, general manager Kevin Colbert, and some other assistant coaches and coordinators attended the Miami Hurricanes Pro Day according to Steelers Depot.

Needing help on the offensive line, one player the Steelers could be looking at is guard Brandon Washington, who's currently projected as a mid-round pick. Another player the Steelers should have interest in is speedy Miami running back Lamar Miller. The Steelers have a big question mark at running back with the late season injury to Rashard Mendenhall, so a big play threat like Miller could entice the Steelers in the mid-rounds.

The Hurricanes also have a trio of wide receivers in LaRon Byrd, Travis Benjamin, and Tommy Streeter as well as tight end Chase Ford. Linebacker Sean Spence also turned some heads with his athleticism, but he's a bit small to fit into the Steelers defense.
