2012 Steelers Offseason: Steelers Bring Back Trai Essex, Doug Legursky On One-Year Deals

Most of the big contracts that will be signed in free agency were inked weeks ago, the Steelers are working on bringing back some of their own talent. They re-signed Jerricho Cotchery a few days ago, and now they have reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with tackle Trai Essex.

Essex is a versatile lineman for the Steeler who has experience both on the interior and exterior of the offensive line. He has played his entire career with the Steelers after being drafted in the third round by the team in 2005. The Steelers have also received a signature on their one-year tender offer from another interior lineman in Doug Legursky.

The Steelers needed to upgrade some of their positions on the offensive line, but bringing back Essex and Legursky could help with their depth if they are able to find new starters.
