The Pittsburgh Steelers could use some help along their offensive line, which is why you will see tackle Mike Adams of Ohio State projected to them in some mocks across the Internet. Adams has a lot of talent but was considered a risk due to a positive test for marijuana, but he has alleviated some of those risks thanks to some good performances during his interviews with teams. As a result, he may be climbing back up draft boards and could be unavailable when the Steelers pick at no. 24 overall, according to Jason La Canfora of NFL.com.
Since then he has been forthright and league sources said he is viewed as a "good kid" who obviously made a mistake. The key for Adams will be learning from it. Several teams said they were impressed with Adams during interviews with him. Several teams picking late in the first round and early in the second round are in the market for offensive linemen in this draft.
Adams would be solid value for the Steelers at No. 24, but he isn't exactly the greatest fit for the Steelers. They need a guard more than they need a tackle. But if Adams is still on the board, they may not be able to pass on him.
