NFL Mock Draft 2012: Steelers Take Cordy Glenn, Derek Wolfe

Behind The Steel Curtain's awesomely detailed new seven-round 2012 NFL mock draft is up, and now is a great time to take note if you haven't already. BTSC has been doing these enormous mocks for months, and they know what's up. This version has the Steelers picking not Dont'a Hightower -- although he's available with their selection at No. 24 -- but, rather, Georgia offensive lineman Cordy Glenn.

Cordy Glenn would fill the Steelers biggest need and he has the versatility to play both guard and tackle. He had a good combine measuring in at 6’5", 346lbs., with 34.75in arms but still being able to run a 5.15 40 and do 31 reps on the bench press. I’ve mocked Hightower to the Steelers almost since the beginning of the draft season but with Glenn available I just can’t see the Steelers passing him up.

The question is whether Glenn will get to the Steelers; most mocks have him going off the board before they pick. In the second round, the Steelers take Cincinnati defensive end Derek Wolfe, who had a pre-draft visit with the Steelers. In the third round, it's another Cincinnati player, running back Isaiah Pead. In the fourth, the Steelers take WVU cornerback Keith Tandy.

This would be a frustrating draft for some fans, in that the Steelers wouldn't really be addressing their needs at inside linebacker and nose tackle, but they'd be getting a bunch of talent.
