As the 2012 NFL Draft rolls on Saturday with selections in Rounds4 through 7, assessments of the picks made in the first three rounds are slowly hitting the internet. Will Brinson of CBSSports.com called the Pittsburgh Steelers one of his "winners" after their second round selection of offensive lineman Mike Adams.
Pittsburgh Steelers -- Initially I had Mike Adams penciled as a major loser in this draft because of how quickly he dropped, but he was saved by the Steelers, who simply saw too much value in the guy to continue ignoring the red-colored bunting that decorates his personnel file. Adams is a bit of a concern in that regard, but if he pans out, the Steelers took another step towards rebuilding their offensive line.
Adams tested positive for marijuana at the NFL Combine, and despite possessing first round talent fell on many teams' boards as the draft approached. If off-field issues aren't an issue, Pittsburgh got quite a steal in Adams.
