NFL Draft Results 2012: Steelers Select WR Toney Clemons In Round 7

The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Colorado wide receiver Toney Clemons with the first of four Round 7 selections. Clemons was taken No. 231 overall, and No. 24 in Round 7. He is a big and physical wideout, listed at 6'2 and 210 pounds. Clemons transferred out to Colorado after beginning his career at Michigan, and has, at times, struggled catching the ball. But his physical tools are his best asset, possessing the size to break multiple tackles after the catch as well as handle AFC North corners who will get into him at the line of scrimmage.

He has a shot to make the roster, and could provide some depth in the pass-catching corps. Clemons is just the first in a run of Steelers picks in Round 7, with three compensatory choices to finish off the draft
