NFL Mock Draft 2012: Do The Steelers Want To Draft Mike Adams Or Don'ta Hightower?

The Pittsburgh Steelers will have plenty of options at the No. 24 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. The Steelers have needs on both sides of the ball, so there could be a choice from either side. Don Banks of SI.com's latest mock draft has the Steelers selecting Ohio State offensive tackle Mike Adams. Banks also mentions, however, that Alabama linebacker Dont'a Hightower has been connected to the Steelers as well.

The Steelers' offensive line issues point toward making Adams a need pick, but Alabama inside linebacker Don'ta Hightower is the other name that keeps being linked to Pittsburgh. In Adams, the Steelers would be getting prototypical tackle size, with only some inconsistent play dropping his grade.

Offensive line is a position that the Steelers need to address during this offseason and Adams measures in at 6-foot-8 and 320 pounds. Getting a tackle that size can only help provide more protection for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. However, Hightower would give the Steelers an inside threat in their defense that could put a lot of pressure on opponents.
