NFL Mock Draft 2012: Could Ryan Tannehill Drop Out Of Top 10?

SB Nation’s latest 2012 NFL mock draft has Ryan Tannehill dropping out of the top 10 and all the way to the Philadelphia Eagles at No. 15. Possible Steelers target Dontari Poe actually goes before that, to the Cowboys at No. 14.

All the action leaves the Steelers with what has become a familiar name: linebacker Dont’a Hightower of Alabama.

This pick is becoming a bit like the top two picks in the draft, preordained. Hey, if the shoe fits, right? Hightower may not make it this far. If not, the Steelers may go with an offensive tackle instead.

The Steelers have greater need as guard and nose tackle than at offensive tackle, but I suppose that’s possible. Stanford’s Jonathan Martin, who falls to the Lions at No. 23 in this scenario, might be tempting if he drops one more spot to the Steelers at No. 24.

Penn State’s Devon Still isn’t in the first round in this mock.
