The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed yet another draft pick, inking offensive lineman Kelvin Beachum. Pittsburgh selected Beachum with the 246th overall selection, a 7th round compensatory selection. Steelers Depot has the information on his contract.
4 year deal for Kelvin Beachum will total out around an estimated $2.143 million & include a signing bonus in neighborhood of $43K #steelers— Steelers Depot (@Steelersdepot) May 10, 2012
Pittsburgh has had to deal with problems with both injured and aging players on their offensive line in recent years, leading to the team drafting three offensive linemen, including Beachum. He started for four years at left tackle for SMU, but he will compete for a spot on the Steelers' roster as a guard.
