While most of the attention on the Pittsburgh Steelers has been focused on the offensive line, the cornerback position has been largely overlooked. While one side of the field is not a place for concern with Ike Taylor, there are three other possible candidates to start opposite of Taylor.
Keenan Lewis, Cortez Allen and Curtis Brown are all candidates to possibly start next season, though Lewis may have the inside track to start according to Behind the Steel Curtain, but Allen could be a stiff competitor as well..
Both played nickel duties, Lewis on the outside when former Steelers CB William Gay shifted inside, and Allen inside in dime packages, most notably, against the high-powered Patriots offense in Week 8.
Regardless of who will start for the Steelers opposite of Taylor, the Steelers appear to have the depth at that position to last them for the foreseeable future.
