2012 Steelers Offseason: Max Starks Expects To Be Able To Play In Time For Training Camp, According To Report

According to a report from Steelers Depot, Pittsburgh Steelers eight-year veteran left tackle Max Starks expects to be physically able to play "just about two months away," which would put him on the field in time for training camp.

Starks has been giving updates all off-season and has expressed his desire to play in in 2012, even if it isn't with the Steelers, the only team he has played for since being drafted in the 3rd round of the 2004 draft.

The two month time table would put Starks as being cleared just as training camps around the league start, and although it was reported last week that the 30 year old tackle recently said that he has yet to hear from the Steelers about a possible return, he was at their facilities this past week having his knee checked out.

Starks was re-signed by Pittsburgh last October to shore up the left tackle position, and they may still need him for that purpose in 2012. Second-round pick Mike Adams seems to be on track to start the season opener in Denver, but if Starks is able to play, having a solid veteran behind Adams would give Pittsburgh needed depth.
