2012 NFL Draft Results: Sean Spence Signs With Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers third-round draft pick, linebacker Sean Spence, has officially signed with the Steelers on Tuesday, according to a tweet by Pittsburgh Post-Gazette writer Ed Bouchette.

#Steelers sign third-rounder, LB Sean Spence. One rookie left, top pick DeCastro.

The Steelers' first round draft pick, offensive lineman David DeCastro, is the only player drafted by the Steelers who hasn't yet signed.

Spence was the first defensive player the Steelers selected, after picking DeCastro and fellow offensive lineman Mike Adams in the first two rounds. Spence made 54 tackles last season for the Miami Hurricanes. 14 of those tackles were for loss, while forcing a fumble and recording three sacks. It's not yet clear what his role will be in the Steelers' system, although he'll surely play lots of special teams in his first season.
