Week 1 is in the books, which means it's time to take a look at some NFL Power Rankings. Not surprisingly, we see the Baltimore Ravens topping SB Nation's list after their very impressive 44-13 thrashing on the Cincinnati Bengals. Joe Flacco looked terrific and the defense was its typical dominant self.
The Pittsburgh Steelers sit eighth after dropping their first contest, just one spot behind the Denver Broncos.
The biggest drop-off in the rankings belongs to the Carolina Panthers, who fell nine spots after losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the season opener.
Over at ESPN.com, the Washington Redskins made a much deserved leap from No. 24 to No. 15 after pounding the New Orleans Saints on the road. Robert Griffin III threw for more than 300 yards in the victory, making some people wonder if this Redskins team is ready to compete right away.
Also at ESPN, the New England Patriots have the No. 1 spot after beating the Tennessee Titans 34-13 on the road. Pittsburgh fell three slots down to No. 11 following the Sunday night defeat.
There were a few constants between the two polls, including the Houston Texans being ranked fourth, the Green Bay Packers at the fifth spot and the Cleveland Browns in the penultimate position.
