Week 3 NFL Picks And Predictions: Steelers Vs. Raiders

Many NFL pundits believe the Pittsburgh Steelers should take care of the Oakland Raiders in Week 3 play on Sunday.

According to most NFL prognosticators, the Pittsburgh Steelers should be leaving Oakland with a victory over the winless Raiders in Week 3 on Sunday.

"I didn't pick the Raiders to make the playoffs and through two games they're making that pick look safe," SB Nation's NFL Editor Joel Thorman said in his weekly game picks post, predicting a 34-10 Pittsburgh romp.

ESPN's panel of NFL gurus almost all agreed with Thorman, except for Adam Schefter, who went with an Oakland upset, in predicting a Steelers win.

Locally, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette had this to say in his weekly forecast:

"The last time the Steelers played in Oakland, the Raiders were 1-5. But they won, 20-13, because Ben Roethlisberger threw four picks, two for TDs, one week after sustaining a concussion. Not this time."

Sports Illustrated's Peter King concurred, foreseeing a 19-10 Steelers win in which both James Harrison and Troy Polamalu won't play, and Yahoo! Sports' panel of NFL pundits Mike Silver, Jason Cole and Les Carpenter all sided with Pittsburgh over the Raiders on Sunday.
