Steelers Vs. Raiders Reaction: Lawrence Timmons' Play Hurt Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a disappointing 34-31 loss in the final moments against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

Mark Kaboly of Steelers Depot feels like the blame should be squarely pointed at Lawrence Timmons for the loss.

According to Kaboly, Timmons made two brutal errors that cost Pittsburgh. The newly-extended linebacker failed to be in his gap on a run play in the first half, leading to a huge Darren McFadden touchdown run that got the Raiders' offense rolling. The second mistake was letting Chris Myers make a third-down conversion to keep the eventual game-winning drive alive.

It's always hard in the NFL to single out one player, but Kaboly makes no bones about his feelings on this particular contest. Timmons was signed to a six-year, $50 million contract last year and to this point hasn't lived up to the contract.
