Steelers' Bye Week Couldn't Come At Better Time

While the Pitt Panthers are likely dreading a bye week after winning two consecutive games, a break couldn't come at a better time for the area's pro team - the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Reeling after a 1-2 start, the Steelers could definitely use some time off to regroup. And after the latest debacle against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, Pittsburgh's defensive unit should be particularly interested in trying to use the extra time to get better. Of note is the fact that the Steelers have allowed 30 points combined in the fourth quarters of their losses against the Raiders and the Denver Broncos. The defense clearly faded down the stretch in both contests.

Currently sitting a game behind the 2-1 Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals, it's far too early, of course, to declare the Steelers in any real trouble. But after giving up 30-plus points in the team's two losses, the bye week is coming at a good time for the defense.
