The Pirates returned to .500 with a big 5-4 win over the Baltimore Orioles at PNC Park Wednesday afternoon.

The Bucs scored two runs in the first inning after Jose Tabata had an infield single, Josh Harrison bunted for a hit, Andrew McCutchen had an RBI single, and Neil Walker hit into a double play that brought home a run. But the Orioles themselves had three straight singles to begin the third inning, and up tying the game. They then took a 4-2 lead on a two-run double by J.J. Hardy.

The Pirates came back when McCutchen led off the bottom of the fourth with a double and Walker brought him home with a groundout. The Bucs then scored two more in the fifth when Josh Harrison hit a ball directly to Orioles second baseman Blake Davis with two on, and it went through Davis' legs. It was unfortunate for Davis, who was making his major-league debut, but a boon for the Pirates, who held onto their 5-4 lead, with the bullpen pitching three scoreless innings in relief of Kevin Correia.
