Here's a nice video of Ohio State fans clapping as the Penn State football team left the field following pregame warmups on Saturday. It's a really nice moment for both teams, I think, and it speaks very well of Buckeye fans, who took the opportunity to acknowledge that the awful Penn State scandal has nothing that we know of to do with the players themselves.

The Penn State Nittany Lions traveled to Columbus Saturday to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes, and left with a hard fought 20-14 victory over their Big Ten rivals. The victory set up a winner-take-all clash with the Wisconsin Badgers next week for the Big Ten's Leaders Division title, and with it a berth in the inaugural Big Ten Championship Game. Despite the victory, current SB Nation bowl projections still place the Nittany Lions in the Outback Bowl on January 2, 2012.

Neither Pittsburgh nor West Virginia played Saturday. The Mountaineers are slotted to play in the Belk Bowl against Georgia Tech of the ACC, but the Panthers, still a win shy of bowl eligibility, no longer appear in the bowl projections. Pittsburgh will need to defeat either West Virginia or Syracuse in their final two games to become eligible for postseason play.

Here are current bowl projections for Penn State and West Virginia:

COLUMBUS, Ohio--Penn State earned a 20-14 victory against Ohio State on Saturday afternoon at Ohio Stadium thanks in large part to strong pass defense.

The Nittany Lions limited the Buckeyes and quarterback Braxton Miller to 83 yards passing on the day, and held all Buckeye receivers not named DeVier Posey to one catch or less. At one point, the secondary was playing so well that co-defensive coordinators Larry Johnson and Ron Vanderlinden pulled a defensive back and deployed a four-defensive linemen, four-linebacker and three-defensive back set, so confident in their secondary that they wanted an extra backer to help with run defense.

Safety Drew Astorino finished in a tie with linebacker Nathan Stupar for second on the team in tackles with eight on the day. His performance helped Penn State keep Ohio State off the scoreboard for the duration of the second half and allowed his team to hold on four its ninth victory of the season.

COLUMBUS, Ohio--Penn State's Tom Bradley got his first win as a head coach on Saturday when his Nittany Lions topped Ohio State 20-14 at Ohio Stadium. The win was also Penn State's first without former coach Joe Paterno on the coaching staff since 1949.

Not small accomplishments on their own, to be sure.

The win also guaranteed this Lions at least a share of the first Leaders Division title in Big Ten Conference history, however, adding to the importance of the victory. Penn State must still defeat Wisconsin next weekend to earn the division's berth in the inaugural Big Ten Championship game on Dec. 3 in Indianapolis, but this team assured its name will go down in the history books as one of the conference's first division winners in its 116-year football history.

After the game, coach Bradley addressed his players in the locker room. Check out video of that moment below, courtesy of GoPSUSports.com

Penn State's game against Wisconsin next week will determine who heads to the Big Ten championship game.

One spot in the inaugural Big Ten Championship game has already been filled as Michigan State routed Indiana 55-3 to claim the inaugural Big Ten Legends Division Championship. The other spot will be decided in next week's regular season showdown between the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Wisconsin Badgers in Madison for the Big Ten Leaders Division.

The Nittany Lions are 9-2 (6-1) after their 20-14 win Saturday over Ohio State. The Badgers are also 9-2, but 5-2 in conference. Although the Badgers have an additional conference loss, a head-to-head win over Penn State would give them the tie-breaker and send them to the championship game.

The Badgers were once considered national championship contenders as quarterback Russell Wilson was considered a Heisman Trophy candidate until their consecutive mid-season losses to Michigan State and Ohio State, both on Hail Mary plays in the last minute of the game. The Nittany Lions lost their FBS opener to Alabama, but were unscathed in the Big Ten until last week's loss at home to Nebraska.

The Penn State Nittany Lions took a 20-14 lead into half time, and that's all they needed to knock off the Ohio State Buckeyes. Neither team could do much offensively in the second half, but the Buckeyes did make a push late to get into scoring range. On their second to last drive of the game, Ohio State pushed all the way down to the Penn State 36-yard line. Needing more than a field goal, Ohio State was forced to go for it on fourth down and quarterback Braxton Miller was short on his run by a yard.

The Nittany Lions offense did just enough to win the game, thanks to tough running by running back Stephfon Green who had just 93 rushing yards, but had two rushing touchdowns. Silas Redd added another 63 yards on just 8 carries. In fact, three Penn State running backs had carries of 38 yards or more. Quarterback Matthew McGloin threw for only 88 yards and an interception, but the Penn State defense shut down the Buckeyes offense so it was enough to grind out the win.

COLUMBUS, Ohio--Penn State starts the fourth quarter defensively in a 4-4-3 formation with four linebackers rather than the standard three. Interesting development. It looks like the Penn State staff wants to force Ohio State to win with the pass. The Buckeyes have 75 yards passing to this point.

Right on cue, though, Ohio State goes to the air and quarterback Braxton Miller finds DeVier Posey for 12 yards up to the 29-yardline. The drive stalls, though, after Miller misses a deep ball to Corey Brown down inside the Penn State 20-yardline. The Buckeyes punt, and Penn State takes over at its own 25-yardline.

The Nittany Lions come out in the wildcat and pick up eight on a direct snap to Curtis Drake. Stephfon Green moves the chains with a run up to the 35-yardline. A false start on second down after a run by Green to start the next set of downs leaves Penn State in a 2nd-and-11 situation, but Matthew McGloin finds Brandon Beachum for 13 as the Lions drive toward midfield now.

Bill Belton takes a direct snap on first down for a gain of two yards. Beachum then gets five yards to set up a 3rd-and-3. Micahel Zordich drops a screen, and Penn State is forced to punt.

With 7:16 left in the game, Penn State continues to lead 20-14.
