Game on! Time for an extended lunch hour for this guy. My running observations:
- Wearing the home whites again. Starting lineup stays the same, surprisingly. Mainly because...
- Deniz Kilicli, in the first ten seconds of play, gets scored on and commits a weak foul. I see the Mountaineers have picked up right where they left off yesterday.
- Danny Jennings subbed in quickly for the Turk. I think he's going to spend some time talking to Huggins this afternoon...
- Vandy coach Kevin Stallings get's T'd up quickly. Hard to say what he was fired up about, though the announcers assert it was for leaving the coaching box. Jennings got pushed to the floor playing defense and the refs called an offensive foul. I can only assume that's what got Stalling's goat.
- Casey Mitchell hits both of the free throws and then buries a three. He has seven of the Mountaineer's eight points.
- Truck Bryant continues to push the ball offensively. I like it. Kevin Jones seems to be playing tougher on the blocks, as well.
- John Flowers picks up his first block of the game.
- Jennings just showed a textbook power move down on the offensive blocks. He couldn't convert, but got fouled and could only hit one free throw. The polish on his move make me optimistic for his future as an offensive player.
- Right now, most of Vandy's points have come off of open jumpshots. The Commodores are having a tough time getting the ball inside.
- Kilicli back in the game. He forces it on his first trip down the floor. When the ball goes in to that guy, you just get the feeling he's not coming off of it. Luckily Casey Mitchell was there to pick up his miss. After a fast break lay-up Mitchell has eleven. Amazing.
- At the under-twelve timeout, WVU: 18 VANDY: 10
