Not that it's any great shock, but SB Nation's Big East bloggers have unanimously ranked West Virginia the No. 1 team in the conference. WVU has only one loss so far, and it's to LSU. The Mountaineers look a lot stronger than any other team in the Big East, and there's no obvious reason they can't run the table on the rest of their conference schedule. Here's a look at the bloggers' overall rankings.
↵1. West Virginia
2. Cincinnati
3. Rutgers
4. South Florida
5. Pittsburgh
6. Syracuse
7. Louisville
8. UConn
That's a disappointing showing for a Pitt team that blew out South Florida, but the Panthers themselves got blown out by Rutgers and only narrowly defeated lowly Maine.
↵The Cincinnati-South Florida matchup on October 22 should be interesting - the Bearcats haven't really beaten anyone significant yet, and the Bulls are a pretty good team that only has one loss, albeit a really bad one.
↵Rutgers' next two matchups are against Navy and Louisville, so the Scarlet Knights and Mountaineers could both enter their matchup on October 29 with both teams 6-1.
