The Arizona football program fired former coach Mike Stopps on Oct. 10. Now, it looks like the Wildcats may have found a replacement in former West Virginia and Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez.

Going on four years ago now, Rodriguez left West Virginia for Michigan in dramatic fashion, taking the Wolverines' job after negotiating a long term deal with the Mountaineers less than a year before. Once a celebrated local hero who coached West Virginia to national prominance, Rodriguez became scorned by many in his home state and at his alma mater in Morgantown after the decision.
↵Rodriguez went on to coach three tumultuous seasons in Ann Arbor before being fired after compiling just a 15-22 overall record and 6-18 record in Big Ten Conference play.
