West Virginia Vs. Seton Hall: 'Eers Fall On The Road, 67-48

While the West Virginia Mountaineers did play better in the second half than in the first, but it was all for naught on the road in Jersey. While the 'Eers did cut the Pirate lead to eight twice in the second half, they couldn't get any closer. Seton Hall easily handed the Mountaineers their first Big East loss of the season and it was a performance that must leave Mountaineer fans re-evaluating expectations for this season.

Simply put, the Mountaineers couldn't do anything right tonight. They shot an embarrasing ssss from the field. Kevin Jones went for a respectable 15 points and 9 rebound, even he wasn't immune making silly mistakes he usually can be counted on not to avoid. Truck Bryant finished with eleven points, but it wasn't for lack of trying, as the senior point guard shot an astonishing 3 for 16 from the feild. Deniz Kilicli, who left the game with injury in the first half, returned in the second half, but still had trouble getting his shots to drop. The freshman point guard tandem of Gary Browne and Jabarie Hinds also got in in the action, turning over the ball four times apiece. All in all it was a total meltdown for the West Virginia Mountaineers.

The Mountaineers next game is at Rutgers on January 4th.
