This morning, West Virginia fans woke up to the news that their new offensive coordinator and head-coach in waiting was allegedly involved in an alcohol-related dispute last week at a West Virginia casino. Holgorsen allegedly had too much to drink and police we called in to escort him from the casino. Holgorsen is said to have complied with their wishes, and no charges have been filed.
↵This incident makes some West Virginia fans uneasy, as the common stereotype of West Virginians as drunks is something which most state residents are acutely aware of. How athletic director Oliver Luck will handle this situation is on the minds of most Mountaineer fans this morning. Assistant Athletic Director of communications Michael Fragale released the following statement:
↵↵↵Athletic director Oliver Luck and head coach Bill Stewart have been made aware of the alleged incident. Once they have all the facts, they will deal with it appropriately.

There are factions of West Virginia fans who felt that outgoing head coach was treated unfairly, and are likely to jump all over this story. While Bill Stewart was much maligned for his on-field coaching decisions, he is universally respected as a positive representative of the state of West Virginia.
