After an "alcohol-related dispute" in a West Virginia casino last week, WVU offensive coordinator and head-coach-to-be Dana Holgorsen has issued an apology for his behavior:
↵↵↵"I learned a valuable lesson from this incident," Holgorsen said in a statement released Wednesday night. "As a football coach, I am always in the public eye and I have to hold myself to a higher standard, which is what I ask our players to do. I'm sorry that this incident has put the university and the football program in a difficult position. I will not put myself in that situation again."

I'm pretty sure no "higher standard" is required for most of us to avoid getting so drunk a casino kicks us out, but hey. It sounds like Holgorsen didn't break the law. West Virginia athletic director Oliver Luck says he won't be talking about the issue anymore, so hopefully Holgorsen has learned his lesson, and we can let bygones by bygones.
