For the second straight week the West Virginia Mountaineers have fallen in the latest USA Today Coaches' Poll, released Sunday afternoon.

The Mountaineers (5-2) dropped to No. 22 after losing their second consecutive game in blowout fashion Saturday; the Kansas St. Wildcats routed WVU, 55-14.

Last week, the Mountaineers were ranked No. 15 after a 49-14 loss at the Texas Tech Red Raiders. That loss came when WVU was ranked seventh in the country.

Overall, West Virginia is one of four Big 12 Conference schools ranked in the top 25. Texas Tech is slotted 17th, the Oklahoma Sooners are No. 7 while Kansas State remained at No. 4.

The Alabama Crimson Tide is still the top team in the country as they received all 59 of the first-place votes. The Oregon Ducks, Florida Gators, Kansas State and Notre Dame Fighting Irish polished off the top five.
