No. 8 West Virginia, coming off a thrilling 70-63 shootout victory over Baylor, gets its first taste of life on the road in the Big 12 on Saturday. The Mountaineers travel to Austin, Texas, to take on the No. 11 Texas Longhorns.
Both teams are undefeated and feature explosive offensive attacks. WVU ranks third the nation, scoring 53.0 points per game, and Texas not far behind. The Longhorns average 47.3 points per game, which ranks ninth. The winner will move to 2-0 in the Big 12 and become one of the favorites to win the conference.
Elsewhere, the Pittsburgh Panthers will travel to Syracuse on Friday night, looking for their first Big East win of the season. Pitt has won two straight games after struggling out of the gate and is looking to build on its momentum.
