West Virginia (7-5) will challenge Syracuse (7-5) in the third annual Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Mountaineers will be entering the contest as winners of their last two games of the regular season. The team managed to defeat Iowa State on the road by a final score of 31-24, before blowing out Kansas at home in the season finale by a final score of 59-10.
Syracuse will be entering the Pinstripe Bowl on the back of a three-game winning streak. The Orange managed to produce at least 31 points in all three games, with their last two wins coming on the road.

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights defeated the Iowa State Cyclones in the 2011 Pinstripe Bowl by a final score of 27-13. The game was largely decided by Rutgers' ability to score 17 unanswered points in the second quarter to take a 17-6 lead into halftime. After a scoreless third, Rutgers outscored Iowa State, 10-7, in the fourth quarter to cement the win.
