The City of Pittsburgh will be hosting games in the first two rounds of the 2012 NCAA Tournament at the CONSOL Energy Center, and the games kick off on Thursday with the next round to be played on Saturday. Here are the four games that will be played on Thursday and the match ups that could be produced.
The first game of the day kicks off at 12:40 pm ET time and features the eight/nine matchup of Kansas State and Southern Miss. You can find that game on tru TV. The winner of that game has the unfortunate duty of advancing to take on. . .
Most likely Syracuse. They're the No. 1 seed in this bracket and they play on Thursday at around 3:10 ET against the No. 16 seed UNC-Asheville. That game will also be played on tru TV.
The ten/seven matchup that starts at 7:20 pm and can be seen on TNT might get the most interest in Pittsburgh since it will feature a local team, the West Virginia Mountaineers. WVU will be the No. 10 seed as they face Gonzaga for the right to advance to face. . .
The winner of No. 2 seed Ohio State vs. No. 15 seed Loyola (MD). That game starts at 9:50 pm and can also be seen on TNT.
