Coming out of halftime the Ohio State Buckeyes held a two-point lead over the Gonzaga Bulldogs and the jumped out to a double-digit lead at one point, thwarting plenty of Gonzaga shots at the basket including this block of a dunk.
The Zags were able to collect themselves however and pull back and tie the game before Ohio State took another lead with under a minute left in the game. With a five point lead under a minute left, the Buckeyes were able to force Gonzaga to begin fouling to put them on the free throw line to hold on to their lead and win.
Jared Sullinger wound up having a big second half for the Buckeyes, finishing up the game with 18 points and four rebounds, hitting on all of his three-point shots. Deshaun Thomas also picked up 18 points while Aaron Craft picked up a double-double with 17 points and 10 assists.
For Gonzaga, it was too little too late as Elias Harris led the way with 16 points with Gary Bell Jr. adding another 15 points with 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The Buckeyes move on to the next round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament with their 73-66 win as they head to Boston, MA for their next game on Thursday.
