College Football Rankings: West Virginia At No. 7 In Week 4 BlogPoll

SB Nation's BlogPoll for Week 4 was released Tuesday, and the West Virginia Mountaineers are the No. 7-ranked team in the country. The Mountaineers (3-0) moved up two spots in the poll after it easily defeated James Madison, 42-12, on Saturday.

The SB Nation poll, which slotted the Alabama Crimson Tide, LSU Tigers, Oregon Ducks, Georgia Bulldogs, Florida St. Seminoles in the top 5, respectively, is similar to this week's AP and USA Today polls that had West Virginia ranked No. 7 and 8. The Mountaineers benefited from the USC Trojans' loss to the Stanford Cardinal.

West Virginia's final rankings in the SB Nation BlogPoll was just a spot below where the Mountaineers' blog The Smoking Musket ranked them. In a release of its Week 3 ballot, The Smoking Musket ranked West Virginia No. 6 just a head of the Clemson Tigers, who was ranked sixth in the SB Nation BlogPoll.

West Virginia plays the Maryland Terrapins in Week 4.
